With Spurs 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford the 2013/2014 EPL Holiday fixture list came to a close. The 4 games for each club in 12 days brought us some entertaining football and some not so much entertaining football (I’m talking to you Mourinho, Pulis and Allardyce). Below is the table for the holiday fixtures with each clubs point total and their movement in the overall table from the start of the holiday fixtures. Clubs with the same point total are listed alphabetically with no calculation of goal difference.
Manchester City was the only club to win all four of their matches collecting all 12 possible points. The Citizens were joined by Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham as the only clubs to reach double digit point totals. In terms of table movement Fulham was the big winner moving from 19th to 16th in the table.
On the other end of the table West Ham, Swansea and Cardiff did not enjoy the holiday period with each club only collecting a single point. Swansea was the big loser in movement dropping from 10th to 13th in the overall table.
So there is it folks your holiday fixture table, did any of these results surprise you? What clubs could have done better and who may have overachieved?
